Dance Question : Good ways to learn solo dance moves?

Post by Coach Huld »

I love dancing, and I'd love to learn more moves and ways to move my body to music as I feel quite limited in what I do. I've tried now and then to fire up some Youtube videos but I've never found it a fun way to learn and I get stuck trying to follow along to simple steps. For context, I'm quite dyspraxic and have struggled a lot in the past as a theatre performer in shows with choreographed dances.

How do I get better at freestyle dancing? Partially so I can look cooler, but mostly so I have a wider arsenal of fun stuff to do when I'm dancing!

For years, I've thought about getting Just Dance as it seems like a fun way to dance more without getting too hung up on specific moves. Are there any Just Dance players around who could say if it made them a better dancer?
